Chief Executive Officer

Laura L. Gibson M.D.

Throughout her career in Adult and Pediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology spanning more than 15 years, Dr. Gibson has integrated all-age patient care and translational research. Her work as a physician-scientist has focused on the immunopathogenesis of cytomegalovirus (CMV) and other herpesviruses in populations at risk for severe disease, including neonates and solid or hematopoietic cell transplant recipients. Among other approaches, these studies have harnessed the vast cellular detail of multi-parameter flow cytometry, the single-cell sensitivity of cytokine release assays, and the complexity of clinical trials. She has gained substantial experience as a leader managing collaborative projects, serving in administrative roles, and directing initiatives that address unmet needs in her field.
